Arent Passer (1560 – 1637) was a stonemason and architect of Dutch origin. He worked in Tallinn from 1589 until his death. Best known artwork by Arent Passer is the tomb chests and architectural solution of the facade with numerous relieves of former building of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads. Jakob De la Gardie, owner of the Haapsalu Castle and town hired Passer in 1626 and from that time are known to be the oldest blueprints of the Castle.
